This collaboration has streamlined operations, improved training, and supported Claudia’s continued leadership growth.
In this Q&A, Claudia discusses how her team, with the backing of Coreworks, ensures Ingleside’s housekeeping program delivers operational excellence and prioritizes resident satisfaction.
My name is Claudia Rivera, and I’ve been with Ingleside at King Farm for 15 years. I started as a housekeeper and now serve as the Environmental Services (EVS) Manager. It’s been an incredible journey of growth and learning.
At Ingleside at King Farm, we handle a wide range of housekeeping and laundry services. This includes light and heavy-duty cleaning, annual deep cleaning, housekeeping for assisted living residents, personal laundry, and carpet care. Our team interacts with residents daily, whether during one-on-one visits while cleaning their apartments or through casual conversations as we move around the community. These moments of connection are an important part of our work.
What I enjoy most is the daily interaction with our staff, residents, and their families. Building those relationships and creating a positive environment is what makes my job so fulfilling.
In the beginning there can always be challenges, but the support of resources provided by Coreworks helped to make it more successful. The operation is running smoothly, the staff is happy, and Coreworks has proven to be an excellent partner.
We have built a great partnership over time. Coreworks has brought much-needed structure and top-notch training to our team.
Derrick has been an incredible leader and mentor. He has embraced the culture at Ingleside and integrated Coreworks’ core values into our work. He’s given me the autonomy to lead while also guiding me to become a better manager. Derrick has supported my professional growth by encouraging me to participate in leadership training, which has helped me refine my management skills.
We’re fortunate to receive comprehensive safety, cleanliness, and compliance trainings, including both the mandatory monthly training at Ingleside and the in-service sessions provided by Coreworks. The trainings help reinforce essential skills such as active shooter awareness, workplace violence prevention, sexual harassment policies, and safety procedures, ensuring that our team is well-equipped to handle any situation.
The success of Ingleside’s housekeeping program is a direct result of Claudia Rivera’s leadership and the strategic partnership with Coreworks. Through this collaboration, Claudia’s team has gained the structure, training, and support needed to thrive. Their work is not just about cleanliness; it’s about connecting with residents and creating a sense of community.
The positive impact of this partnership is evident not only in the quality of housekeeping services provided to residents but also in the growth and development of Claudia as a leader. Together, Ingleside and Coreworks are setting a standard of excellence in both care and operational efficiency, creating a vibrant, clean, and safe environment for all residents.
